Many of us are guilty of not exploring our own backyards enough, and a stay at the Heritage Collection Chinatown will solve that situation. The Heritage Collection provides plenty of suggested itineraries and activities in the neighbourhood during their stay.
Think of the Heritage Collection as a butler that knows exactly which local (not touristy) experience for guests to embark on so that they have a richer and broader understanding of Chinatown’s history and cultural significance.
All of the studios and lofts of the Heritage Collection are fully stocked and the kitchenettes are equipped. This gives you a short glimpse and experience of what it’s like to actually live in the neighbourhood.
Overall a great cheap staycay in Singapore that provides a meaningful and immersive community experience.

The Heritage Collection in Chinatown does not lack in online reviews, many of which are from guests who were pleased with their stay. Here’s one from Rohit Manohar, a previous guest of the Heritage Collection:
The self check-in process is brilliant. Works perfectly. Location is right opposite the mariamman temple, which makes it easy for cabs and for anyone else to find it.
Rooms are windowless, however there is air conditioning and the room is well kept and cozy. Perfect for a couple or an individual, room comes with a fridge, a microwave, Apple TV connection, induction cook top, utensils, cutlery, and even a water heater.
This stay was just 800 meters from my office at Cecil street. Staying here for a week.
